As of December 2, 2018, the church has initiated the church wide Prayer Warriors for praying to God daily in order to build a strong relationship with God, individually and as a church. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Franklin has commitments from 45 members to pray daily using the yellow sheet as a guide each day. Please continue to talk with God each night, praying without ceasing for our church.
God is still working in the hearts and lives of our church. The Holy Spirit moved to have the same motivation sign in vestibule as what the Pastor was preaching about this pass Sunday. “My faith does not rest on the wisdom of men but on the power of God.”  1st Corinthians 2:5.   Oh and by the way, that sign was not to go up last week and God changed my mind. Nothing ever happens by chance or luck when it comes to the Lord’s business.
Don’t forget the Porch is coming March 2019, giving us all a chance to witness about our church and Jesus Christ. We are commissioned to reach outside the church’s four walls and this will give us a chance to do just that. We will pick a Friday late afternoon say late March so we have more sun and position ourselves either on Hwy 601 and/or West Ridge Road with chairs and each can have a sign which advertises our church’s name and promotes the Savior we serve. Signs will be made so they can also push down into ground in front of our chairs. Also give us a chance to fellowship, witness and advertise our church. I am really believing that we need to expose to as many people as possible and rush hour on Friday between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm should do nicely. The exact spot has not yet been determined but working on it now. Whether end of our church drive, corner of 601 and west ridge or at a member’s yard.
Stay tuned for more from the mission committee.
Calling all who love Jesus. We need warm bodies for the choir. Don’t have to carry a tune or know music. God just wants us to make a joyful noise. Amen. Hope to see you in the choir.

Helping Others

Rowan Helping Ministries
Our volunteers from Franklin pick up and deliver food on Tuesdays from Food Lion #1 that they donate to Rowan Helping Ministries to help the less fortunate. We continue to request members bring non-perishable goods to put in the box in the vestibule for Rowan Helping Ministries.

A Big “THANK YOU” to our Delivery Volunteers!!!

Battered Women's Shelter
As we continue to help the folks at the Battered Women's Shelter be aware of their need for bed pillows, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, Swiffer sheets (that wrap around), coffee, creamer, sugar, hamburger helper meals, summer clothing.

Any question please see Grace or Bonnie.

Thank you for your help!

I knelt to pray when day was done,
And prayed, O Lord, bless everyone;
Lift from each saddened heart the pain,
And let the sick be well again.”

And then I woke another day
And carelessly I went on my way.
The whole day long I did not try
To wipe a tear from any eye;

I did not try to share the load
Of any brother on my road;
I did not even go to see
The sick man just next door to me.

Yet once again when day was done
I prayed, “O Lord, bless everyone.”
But as I prayed, into my ear
There came a voice that whispered clear:

“Pause, hypocrite, before you pray;
Whom have you tried to bless today?
God’ sweet blessings always go
By hands that serve Him here below.”

And then I hid my face and cried,
“Forgive me, Lord, for I have lied;
Let me but see another day
And I will live the way I pray.””
