Rejection…
Exodus 14:14 “Let God deal with your enemies"

Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people
Always have a heart that can forgive the worse.
Always have a mind that forgets the bad.
And always have a soul that never loses faith in God.
And don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon. They will shine when it’s their time.
Without the rain nothing grows; we have to learn to embrace the storms of life.
My mind races back to the story of Joseph and the hurt he must have faced when his brothers rejected him and off to Egypt he goes. What did I do to deserve this, what another one of those discouragements to make me stronger God (sarcasm). Did he get mad at God, did he lash out at people, did he quit, get negative on life and God, no….what did Joseph have?
He had eyes that see the best in people
A heart that can forgive the worse.
A mind that forgets the bad.
A soul that never loses faith in God.

So many thanks go out to the many people who helped in bible school. The children seemed to enjoy and our teacher(s) did a great job. MJ redecorated his room every night for a different scene depicting the story of Paul’s adventures in Athens. Along with Lee Jarvis, his trusted sidekick, it was entertaining and informative. Crafts by Jill McNeely along with her lesson were outstanding. Now to my favorite thing the meals. Thank you Johnny and Donna Lowe, Rick and Carol Leonard and all those who cooked meals (even Eden got in there.)
We will have a Mission meeting August 4 on Jubilee Sunday to discuss car show events in early to middle October. We have our own
Tony Hager who will lead us for the information needed. Donations will go to WRBT. Maybe even hotdogs and hamburgers and a side helping of ice cream, who knows.

Thank you

Helping Others

Rowan Helping Ministries
Our volunteers from Franklin pick up and deliver food on Tuesdays from Food Lion #1 that they donate to Rowan Helping Ministries to help the less fortunate. We continue to request members bring non-perishable goods to put in the box in the vestibule for Rowan Helping Ministries.

A Big “THANK YOU” to our Delivery Volunteers!!!

Battered Women's Shelter
As we continue to help the folks at the Battered Women's Shelter be aware of their need for bed pillows, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, Swiffer sheets (that wrap around), coffee, creamer, sugar, hamburger helper meals, summer clothing.

Any question please see Grace or Bonnie.

Thank you for your help!

I knelt to pray when day was done,
And prayed, O Lord, bless everyone;
Lift from each saddened heart the pain,
And let the sick be well again.”

And then I woke another day
And carelessly I went on my way.
The whole day long I did not try
To wipe a tear from any eye;

I did not try to share the load
Of any brother on my road;
I did not even go to see
The sick man just next door to me.

Yet once again when day was done
I prayed, “O Lord, bless everyone.”
But as I prayed, into my ear
There came a voice that whispered clear:

“Pause, hypocrite, before you pray;
Whom have you tried to bless today?
God’ sweet blessings always go
By hands that serve Him here below.”

And then I hid my face and cried,
“Forgive me, Lord, for I have lied;
Let me but see another day
And I will live the way I pray.””
